I guess I knew from an early age that I gravitated towards the visual arts. It wasn't too long before I discovered photography. My grandfather enjoyed taking photos and had his own darkroom. I can still remember standing on a chair behind him in the shadow of that glowing red light, watching the image in the tray of solution slowly appear... it was like Magic!
Of course, photography has change a lot since those days, but the basics are the same. Photography is about observation of life and the quality of light that fall on and illuminates the shapes and details all around us. Whether you're photographing a product or capturing a moment in someone's life, the object is the same... Magic!
